Thanks, everyone. Replies-
The deer hobbled out of sight, it was raining and I didn't pursue, but guy behind me said he saw fur flying, so pretty sure "I got him".

Cows may cause more damage if you hit 'em, but you have to be asleep, because cows are S L O W. This deer was haulin'.

My daughter, who has my sense of humor, has the solution:
Round up all the deer.
Airlift them to countries like Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., where there are lots of land mines.
Let the deer go.
When the deer find a land mine, the locals have a feast.

Deer bingo.[|)]

My Aunt and Uncle live in Tallahassee, I think they have both there.
NO, Tallahassee is where the Dumbo and the asses presides.

Hey now, not all the people who live there are dumbos and asses. Most but not all.

Glad to hear you are ok.

Deer, cows? Try driving Northern Ontario, most times the Moose wins.

When I get it fixed, I'm gonna see if Streamline Design can make a small deer , and I'll put it on driver's door - kinda like fighter pilots.[:0]

LOL.

I had an old '72 Ford truck that could've worn a couple of Japanese "Rising Sun"s.

Sorry for your bad luck.

QSD,
Sorry to hear of the accident, glad no one was hurt (except the deer). I was ticked the other day when a squirrel dropped a donut out of the trash on the PT from my overhead wires. I guess that's not so bad after your story. Deer scare the h*ll out of me.

For Thousands of years People in North America have been killing deer.
You have carried on this ancient heritage, and sacred responsibility (yes, the predator provides a valuable service to the prey... not individually, but to the species.)

Console yourself with the thought that the deer probably had a slow, painful death.

And support your local hunters. They have a faster, more responsible method of doing our job of killing deer.

Don, sorry for your run-in but glad to hear you weren't hurt.

Read an article that said here in Michigan there is something like 200,000 car/deer accidents every year! Maybe part of hunting license fees should be set aside to repair vehicles damaged. [:I]
Otherwise, the insurance companies just pass it along in higher rates.
