High speeds and more dangerous, yes, if it was open road ahead and slow down in traffic, no. You can have fun at high speeds as long as your speed is not going to affect the other drivers (besides the one trying to keep up with you!!). Not saying that I havent but the majority of time I dont.[8)].

Great story. Can't stand the coffee can exhaust - don't know why guys think it sounds cool when their cars sound like never-ending whoopie cushions - as though they're suffering from chronic flatulence. [)]

Has any of these kids ever tried a flowmaster or borla exhaust? [:I]

Just wonder if it would make their vehicles sound more respectable.

Have to share our 'fast' story with y'all....

Took Beetle (my baby's name - NO reference to the VW's please!) to WI and took some back roads, dropped the top and just settled in for a nice ride.

SOme JERK comes up real close and starts tailgating....hubby 'played' with him a bit by speeding up to put a safe distance between us, and the damn fool kept riding the bumper...so, hubby just pressed on the gas a bit (and he claims it was just a bit) and we were up to about 100mph in no time and left the other guy waaaay behind.

Had to stop for a soda at the next gas station (got thirsty with all that fresh air!) and as we are getting ready to leave, who drives in and asks what the 'h' we have in the car as he couldn't catch us!!! He just about flipped when we said it was a 4 cyl!

He had a 400 something in his car and claimed he had his floored.

Hubby still says he didn't go over 100, but I have my doubts. Needless to say, he got clobbered on the arm and told to slow down when I noticed the trees were getting blurry!

Anyhow, he hasn't done it since and promises he won't do it again. But after having our 440 Challenger and now this little guy, he's pretty quick as some mustangs have found out! Haven't had one stay with me yet when they start their vroom vroom crap at the stop lights!

Yeah, I'm enjoying my car and I am being safe, even tho it doesn't sound like it.
