Well, my dealer is a "0" star. I too waited ONE time for a oil change. Never again. Funny thing about this though, right next door is a Pontiac dealer which has a bay just for the 15 minute oil change. OWN BY THE SAME PERSON AS THE CHYRSLER NEXT DOOR. What's up with that? Stupid, stupid, stupid. I don't mind giving them my business but come on. Customer service is what it is all about!! My business is basically customer service and at times, even though I know what they say is a lie, I fix it. I wish I had Gary04GT's dealer down here.

I don't take my PT to a dealer for a oil change. I am lucky enough to be an Allied Tire and Service customer . Last time I had a oil change, Preventive Inspection AND tire rotation for $14.95. I did not request synthetic oil, as I change every 3K miles and I feel the oil used is sufficient. Also, I was allowed to go into the service area and watch the mechanic do all of the work. Any more that is unheard of. Took 3/4 of an hour.

I had the "locking" type caps, after two got stolen I tried to get the other two off, same thing, black corrosion around the threads.

The locking part is a real *&^% when they seize up like that, but even my five thumb hands managed to remove them without damaging the stems.

Go to another dealer if you can, you are not bound to the dealer you bought it from.
What are "locking" valve caps?? I put on "tire minders" - you buy them for certain tire pressures - they show green when at pressure, yellow when a little low, red when low. They are brass threads.

i have yet to take my PT to the dealership, i wonder if my dice valve stem covers will be a problem for them? And those tire minders, i have a brand new set for 36 psi sitting on the desk next to me, i like the dice better then them. you think chyrsler dealerships are bad, the chevy dealer i used to go to for the LTZ was retarded.

After I milk them out of a few more oil changes, to recoup some of my money, I'll start doing them myself like I used to on my Jeep. I couldn't see paying anyone to do the Jeep, it was so easy. I didn't even have to get under in, just reached my hand in to loosen the drain plug. Oil filter could come out through the top or bottom, your choice. PT won't be that easy, as I can't even see the filter from the engine bay, but it should be a no-brainer.
I wonder if using synthetic oil will void my warranty, as the manufacturer does not recommend it.

Have to say that I have always had good luck with my dealership. It is a Five Star and though I have had to request a couple things more than once, I always get great service. They do change my oil with Mobil 1.
Sorry to hear you guys had so much trouble. The survey you spoke about just goes back to the dealer. You might try sending it on to DC.
Good luck in the future with them.

I would contact DC. and speak with a rep tell them what was said about synthetic oil being used. Document who you talked to,when and how then call the service manager and explain to him what DC said. Give him the Reps name and reference #. Just to give yourself peace of mind. Then I'd take my business elsewhere. Most dealers will try an earn your business thru service since they lost your business in sales. The chrysler dealer by me lost my sale by being blaize when I was shopping, I've since been back for service once (not a pleasant experience). Was going to have my fog lights installed and I received an outragous quote so I bought them on line and installed them myself (all of 30 minutes). I've been waiting to recieve a service survey so I can bang them. I was in the business and don't like doing it but sometimes you have to shake things up alittle. There is no reason for treating people like your doing them a favor by providing a service. The dealership I bought my car from is across the bridge about 30 minutes away. But everytime I've been there I was in and out and dealt with very curtiously and professionally. Man that felt good almost like therapy[|)]

It was the deal that was offered when I bought the car. Saves a good deal of money over time, but if you want synthetic, you're outta luck. Waiting time is at least 2 hours also. I'm pretty much giving up on it and going back to doing my own with synthetic. I wish I could pass the free oil changes I got on to somebody else who really needs it. Unfortunately I can't.
Sometimes the best things in life aren't free!! You get what you pay for I guess.[:I]
