Changing oil on the PT (turbo) is one of the easiest cars I've had so far (and there have been plenty). I wouldn't think of letting someone else have the fun (just don't overtighten the drain plug). I contacted Castrol and Chrysler tech services, and Synthetic oil 5w30 can be used in areas where outside temps are over 110 degrees (Southwestern US). Owner's manual says over 100 degrees use 10w30 (standard grade). Sorry I got off the beaten path here.
