Default Rough Idle

I have my 03 TE and it is having a rough idle. I know that its supose to have somewhat of a rough idle cause of the 2.4 but this is shaking the car some and you can feel it. Has anybody had this same problem before?[:I]

What's the RPM? Should be 750. How many miles? If low miles, plugs have been known to go bad, and the wires aren't much better. Heck, an '03? Make the dealer fix it!
If they give the old "That's normal" BS, ask to drive the demo PT - it won't do it, then say you want yours to drive like the demo...

Welcome back bro,

It does sound to me like bad plugs and things. Mine is an 03 going on 20k and it does this sometimes.

I reverse in the auto is does a lot more then in anyother gear and its constant, but it has always been like that.

I drove a Turbo this past weekend and it didnt have the idle rough. Mine is idling around 8-1000 rpms. Its only at 1900 miles so they better fix it.

Please post what they did to fix it. It's how we learn.

Well, I got my baby fixed. They have a bulletin out for faulty spark plugs and wires. They detected misfires in every cylinder. So, if your cruiser seems to be sucking more gas or bad idle get it done, as long as its under 12k miles they will cover it under warranty (at least here).

The PTs do have a idle to where you can feel the engine moving but, it is normal. You will have some vibration because of those big ol pistons!
