Not a big deal. Take some caulking (I used my fingers) and "smear" the penetration. Takes 2 minutes. And if it isn't it, can't hurt!

Are you sure it is water and not hydralic fluid? Brake fluid or if you have a 5 spd it could be from the clutch cylinder too.
