Welcome to the club,
I heard that if you remove or cover this that it may void your warranty or some bs like that.
I wanted to get those plaques that go over them put, after hearing about the warranty void I decieded not to.
That's like thinking that tearing the label off a mattress that says "Do not remove under penalty of the law" will get you thrown in jail. [:0] When you buy something you can remove whatever labels you want to.

Stone,

Welcome to the forum and the world of PT Cruisers. I too have a 2001 limited edition, but I didn't sell the Vette. Don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Both cars are great and each serves me well and brings a feeling of satisfatin when I'm out crusing around. Tell us a little about yourself, or at least fill in your profile so we can see a little bit about ya.

Stone bought a Stone White 2001 Limited Edition

Hello Stone,
I have a 2004 limited - coolvanilla
What's the difference with stone white as compared to coolvanilla?
I've already explained that I'm a woman, and these guys encouraged me. It's somehow important to me to know the difference.
I have a feeling this is a minor change in color, kind of like oyster white as compared to white, am I right guys?

HI Crewzin,
The floor of your garage looks better than my own kitchen. Are those tiles? Wow.
We have the misfortune of selecting a home that our van doesn't fit in...which my husband knew but appeased me because I wanted this house.
So, our garage is full of boxes from the last move...
To get to the point, has anyone had problems with the paint on their PT? I've been washing mine in the rain, as it has been a very wet spring here. Yes, we wash our cars the natural way...rain water and a nice soft towel.

Thanks for the welcome Guy's and Gal's [^]

I live on the gulf coast of Florida. Navarre Beach (panhandle) to be exact. Last week I flew to Tampa and purchased the near perfect one owner Cruiser and drove her home some 400+ miles. The first ride was not as enjoyable as it should have been due to the continuous rain storm. Since making the purchase of said Cruiser my mail-ordering has been non-stop.
Today I took the PT to the local dealer to schedule an appointment to have the bumpers replaced, under warranty for the tape marks on the corners of the bumpers where they mate with the body. I also had them run the VIP summary on the car.....which showed that no warranty work of any kind has been performed, even the fuel pump seal recall was not taken care of....another item on the to-do list. The original owner had all the oil change records, every 3,000 miles...like clock work. No repairs have been made and the car still boasts it's original tires, brakes etc.
First pic of the Cruiser....of course the look will change quickly once the mailman does his duty.

At the moment I'm contemplating tires and the billet grille.

Rick [?]

btw...to answer an earlier question.....the Stone White is a very bright/hard white.

Oh yeah......here's a pic of the sacrificial lamb.....my 1977 Corvette Orange T-Top Coupe.

Which was sold a couple of weeks ago to a gentleman from Utah.....who by the way, flew in and drove her home. And yes...my wife and I shed some tears when we lost sight of our beloved Vette when the new owner headed west.

Rick,

You probably took #19 or #75 up to the panhandle. Either way you past me by about 10 miles. I'm in Lecanto, half way between Inverness and Crystal River.

You didn't say how many miles are on your PT but if you've been reading the forums you know that both the OEM tires and brake pads are junk, so the sooner you get rid of them the better.

Don't hesitate to ask questions about any mod your thinking of. There's bound to be somebody here that has bought it already and is ready to give you opinions or other places to buy/not buy from. You'd be surprised at the different prices on the same mod from different dealers.

Frances...yes they are tiles...self stick tiles from Home Depot over a primed/painted floor.
