Default Rebate & 0% from Chrysler

April 2004 bought 2004 inferno red gt turbo 5-spd rare find.
3 weeks later I log onto chrysler website and find $1,000 rebate & 0% financing. Just 3 weeks after I bought mine. Inquired to see I can qualify for the rebate. come on just 3 weeks later. dealer knew about rebates coming? I was told my purchase was "an outstanding value" & would provide me with "years of driving satisfaction."
Basically too late. I was told that these special sales programs are "intended to create goodwill with the buying public and to provide purchasers with an even better value". I am the buying public and I seek better value. Anyone else run across this?
I plan to appeal of course. Just a little miffed about this.
I was offered the warranty program for a reduced price after the promotion had expired. I will keep trying. I don't think I am out of line here. Just 3 weeks later. 6 months- 1 year etc OK but 3 weeks later. Updates to follow

Marko,

Good Luck. I missed the 7/70 on mine by just a month. All I received was 3/36 and that ran out after 2 years. [:I]

Exactly what I was going to say. 7/70 was offered right after I bought mine. Such is life. You win some, you lose some, some are rained out. [:I]

Hey Marko,
We had a similar situation when we bought our car. We saw it on TV.
The dealer told us we WERE getting a great bargain, and that we were getting a deal 2 days before the next promotion.
We did get a good bargain, 2,000 rebate and 4.financing. (we did our own financing) but could have gotten 2,000 and free financing for 2 years -[xx(] which we would have paid the car off anyhow.
Good luck
