Rear Hatch info wanted

One of the, what the manual calls liftgate support rods, on my 01 Cruiser is sticking. I don't think replacing it is a big deal, but I can't seem to locate the kind it is or the number anywhere. I suppose it's a realitively easy piece to pick up someplace other than a dealer. If anybody has any info that might help me, I'd be most graeful.

If you take some measurements, you should be able to pick one up at the local auto store. Take the cruiser with you in case you need to do some more measuring or to see how they attach to the back compared to the one your thinking of buying.

Mines a 2001 also and the tailgate doesn't go all the way up by itself without a little help, but I'll put up with that until it starts sticking like yours or I have to force it open.

They really aren't that expensive at the dealership. I think I paid about 40-45 for them.
