Have to agree with Sci-Fi on this one, Mine's all stock and can get 25 city and 35 highway can't complain on that. I have had worse mileage but it all depends how you drive I guess.

Use cruise control if you have it, and you should be fine. Let us know afterward so we can see who was right!

I drive to Washington DC alot (i live outside of fayetteville, nc) to visit my folks. it's about a 6-6.5 hr trip. I can make it up there on a tank and a splash of gas. it's about a 400 mile trip (i think). i have to drive on US 1 to get to I-85 then I-95 in petersburg then to US 301 to where my folks like. i would say it's about half "rural" driving half highway driving. hope it helps
i just drove those roads this past week went to visit my girlfriends aunt in raleigh. i live in North eastern pa , that was a long trip.

Dan

Where about in NE PA? All of my family is from Williamsport, PA?

I wish I got the mileage you are all getting. I recently put in a K&N filter and have seen some difference but I would be lucky to get 275miles to a tank no matter what. I have disconected the battery to reset PCM and am waiting to see if it makes a difference. I read that there was a bulletin on plugs and leads which may help.

My '03 GT averages about 21 to 22 MPG highway, a little less city. I suspect I am a sucky driver though, so a more experienced or capable driver could probably coax more miles out of my Vanessa.

The tank is, I believe 12 gallons, so theoretically on an average highway day I could go about 252 miles on a full tank, maybe a little more.
