Default How Often do you Clean your K&N

How often do ya'll clean your drop in K and N filter? Do you clean and recharge? Or just recharge?

I've done it at about 25,000 miles each time (twice). By recharge, I guess you mean applying the oil? Can't see why you wouldn't clean it first.

I'm with QSD on this one. All three of my cars are equipped with a K&N. I clean and recharge (oil) around the 25 - 35K milage mark. One cleaning/recharging kit will last for a dozen cleanings...well worth it.

every other oil change, mines an open element (cone) type.
I am careful not to use high pressure water i just run it under the sink in my garage.

I have a low sitting CAI in my car and I usually clean mine in the spring. When I take it out it's usually completly black.

On the one on the Malibu I would clean it every few months, but I never put that oil on it (until recently).
