Default Recall and drive belts

Had nothing better to do so thought I'd get under the car and give it a good look-over. From what I can see, the hose from the power steering pump that rubbed/burned away and caused the fire is held away from the transaxle cover buy two solid clamps. There's no way the hose can come in contact with the cover unless the clamps are missing or bent/pushed in towards the cover like if the driver ran over a concrete parking stop. [:I] While I was under there I took a good look at the drive belt. Schedule B says to "replace drive belts" at 60,000 miles which is what I just passed. Well, the parts manual shows 3 belts (accessory, alternator, power steering), but I could only see one from under the car and that was like new so I'll wait awhile and probably change those belts and the timing belt all at once.

Just fine Jimbo. Here's a pic from last Sunday's show down in Tampa. I took Best of Show, the Inferno Red next to me took Overall Best of Show.

[8D]Thank's crewzin for clearing that up. I went to dealership today. They did a tie on the fule line, but said it didn't really need it since the line was already replace with a differnt one before I owned it. Also the lower line was elect. line and wasn't near any thing hot, that they never heard anything about a recall. The tires were rotated $16.00 figured not a bad price, plus they sanded the rust out of drums said they rust commond problem. But they got me on the plastic tie. Another $17.00 for a plastic tie, ouch! that must be a base line price. Still were's the love. Next time I fix it myself, or go elsewhere unless it totally covered.
