Welcome Dilly, you'll love the PT the more you drive it, my wife wanted the Seamist also. Went to a dealer in Texas because no one in OK had a TE with a 5 speed like she wanted. Came home with a DC2 5 speed instead(LOL), and Tangerine color to boot.[8)]

I have had my GT since last August. So it is an Onyx Green, 03 GT with all the goodies, No mods yet.

Gary, The other day I went on the Chrysler Canada site and they were still offering the Seamist Green color.

ZZZ, those sound like practical items. Did you get the flaps from the dealer? I have been looking for seat covers. Anyone know of a good deal for cloth or sheepskin covers?

Jimbo, I live in Southern California, What IS winter?

Smfry, I think that's my all time favorite color. Your wife is lucky.

How are you guys posting quotes?

In the "bar" at the top of each post there are symbols - the one with a page and a curved arrow pointing at it is "reply with quote" - just point your cursor at it and a drop-down label should tell you that. You can then delete out much of the post (like I just did).
Got it?

Welcome to the group!

Two days after getting my PT GT a friend closed my hood for me. Unfortunately he didn't realise there was a support rod that had to be removed first and it pushed up and dented my hood. I have seen this characteristic dent on at least two other PT Cruisers.

The first thing every PT Cruiser owner MUST BUY are the Blane hood strut kits. It's only a matter of time before a careless friend or mechanic will close the hood without removing the rod.

Joe

All this talk about colors makes me wonder... When my dad bought his PT in 2001 (later gave it to me) he said the color of the car is midnight blue. Although I have never heard anyone talk about it or have it. I have seen electric blue and know that is not it, but havent seen patriot blue. Is there such thing as midnight blue?

Hello TaylorMade, As far as I know there are 3 true blue colors for the PT. Midnight Blue Pearl coat, Patriot Blue Pearl coat, and Electric Blue Pearl coat. Midnight being darkest to the Electric being the lighest in value. There is another color called Aquamarine, but I've never seen the color live, so I don't know how to classify what color group to put it into, blue or green.[:I]

Oh, then it does exist. I just never heard anything about so i thought it might be called something else. Ill try to get some pics up when it gets out of the shop (got rear ended, long story). Is it a common color?
