Our seventh 2004 "Most Obsessed" winner is Mike Slater (aka MotorMike, MX-5) of South Bend, Indiana, USA. Mike is a leader of the PT Cruisers of Michiana club and an active voice on just about all forums and at PTDIY.com as an technical authority on the mechanical aspects of the PT Cruiser. Mike is a ASE Master Certified mechanic by trade and a performance shop owner in South Bend.

Mike was nominated for this honor by Scott Kissinger, a 2003 "Most Obsessed" winner and Crisis Counselor, who presented this award on July 1.

Thanks to all!!!!

I was certainly surprised to get this award upon returning from the Falls.

For 4 years I've donated my time to help other PT owners with online questions and problems.
Back in the summer of 2000, I was the only one with a service manual. As the questions were posted online, there were very few places to get answers. I was asked if I would be willing to answer a few tech questions for a technical library. WOW!!! I had no idea there would be over 2000 questions and 1.5 million hits. What was supposed to be a few minutes a week, turned into many hours. I am still only a volunteer, tryinig to help PT owners. But, I have learned more about the PT through the questions of others. I get a rare chance to see things from the perspective of a thousand other people. (some more strange than I would ever have guessed)

For those who have been here since the beginning, we remember BX-hell and rushing to Wal-Mart to get a Contico Handi-bin to make an underseat drawer because Chrysler shorted us.

Many things online have changed since the beginning, but our passion for the PT remains constant.

I am honored to receive the 'Most Obsessed' award for 2004.
