Default engine Pinging?

My non-turbo automatic with borla/duals & an airade intake lately started to ping on light acceleration on these hot summer days.2003 with 14k miles. I recently added plus fuel and it seemed to disappear and also seemed more responsive! Car doesnt call for anything above regular but has anyone else noticed my results? Thanks for input.. MJB[8)]

Thought our engines had a knock sensor.... since yours is still under warranty, I'd get them to correct it. Pinging isn't good if left to continue.

QSD is correct, our engines do have a knock sensor. Like he said, if it's still knocking get it to a good mechanic ASAP. [:I]

Mine does the same thing..about 23,000 miles on mine...when I use Super Unleaded, there is no pinging what so ever....weird.
