The black piece that covers the engine and channels the air.
It is behind the front bumper lower air dam area. It the black piece behind there that is viewable when you look next to the fog light. Im missing this part and need to know if I really need it. I will try to get another one. The body shop that recently fixed my PT missed this part. I noticed it myself last night. I want to know if I need it and if not I may just take the other out. |

Colby,
If I read you right, I think it's the piece that directs the air from the hole next to the fog light to the front brakes to help them keep cool. I don't know if it really works or not, but some engineer somewhere in Chryslerland thought the brakes needed some extra air so if I were you, I'd try to put it back on. But then again you might be talking about something altogether different. [:I]

Carey,
Yes that is it. I figured that it was there because some engineer decieded it needed to be there, yes. I will have to contact the shop again to see if they still have it or could get a new one. Afterall they forgot to put it back on, right? Well anyways if not I could find one somewhere Im sure and I probably could put it on myself. Personally I think it looks kinda cool without it. If I had the steel wheels then it would be a different story. My wheels now should let a good amount of air in that area.

If you decide you need one, and body shop won't accomodate, try here:
http://www.ptforums.com/zerothread?id=1863 It's a 2001, but quite sure part didn't change, except possibly for GT turbo.
