Unhappy NEW TODAY AND FROM NEBRASKA

HELP! I have been looking on forums for over a week to find anyone in the state of Nebraska who owns a PT Cruiser. I got mine 11 days ago and I love it. I want to find a state club in Nebraska. I belong to the PTCC but I do not feel like traveling to Wichita, Kansas just for a meet and greet- the closest club i have found so far.. I have been advised to just start my own club but I know nothing about my car and do not feel qualified to do something this big. I want to learn about the car, find others who enjoy theirs as much as I do. Plus, I want to see what real cool ones look like. Can anyone help me? Mickey

Mickey,

When I first moved to Florida there wasn't a local PT club so I joined one 100 miles away (Tampa Bay). One day I found a note on my windsheld asking if I'd like to get together with local owners. One thing led to another and now we have about 30 PTs in a local club. We meet every other Saturday for dinner and a cruise to the local hangout of the Citrus County Cruisers Club (400 members of all kinds of cars). One of the members started a web site and we find out where to meet (to eat) thru the site. Even the larger PT club in Tampa finds out what's happening thru a web site also set up by one of the members. Both clubs have no president or board, just people with the same interest (PTs) wanting to get together to have a good time.

If you can't find a club, make up a small note and hand them out to any PT you happen to see. You don't need to be knowledgable to start a club, just friendly enough to get people interested in starting one.

This is really a great suggestion!
You do not need to really approach a stranger face to face to ask.
Just leave a note and make the first contact.

Yeah. You do not need to be knowledgeable. Other PT lovers joining your club might have more experience and will help out other members. Probably start up small... eventually new owners in your area will be looking to join your club.

Hi

I just wanted to say welcome and congrats on getting your PT Cruiser.

Also the post from Skylight about a NE PT Cruiser Club - I'm sorry to say, the NE stands for New England, not Nebraska.

Keep searching and have fun !!

I would also check out any local MOPAR shows, there may be some PT's there.

Welcome to the Forum.
