Some cars had the wiring harness run no matter base or higher model. is this true on say an 06 pt? my friends 05 RSX was easy to add to was just plug and play really.

Basically i am asking if the wires are in the steering column and the front of the
car

Remove the 3 bolts on the front a the fender liner or remove the little fog light cover to see if plug is there.
From the little pic of your car, it looks like you have fog lights...

Thread Revival Time!
With respect pricing: dealer wants $140 + tax,
Autozone wants $58.99 for a "Duralast" switch.
O'Reilly's - $58.99 for BWD switch.
Does anyone have any comments on these brands, or do I bite the bullet and pay for Mopar product?
On a budget; but don't want to spend cheap, get cheap.
Thanks!

Hmm I have not replaced mine yet but I'm not going to pay $140 bucks for a MFS!

Take a look here I order tons of stuff from them from several cars no issues!

Thanks Chip18sw! These prices are much more like it; and I have heard 99.9% good things about RockAuto.
Any feedback on Dorman, OE PRO, or BWD is appreciated.

Yes!! Funny you should mention Dorman! When I did my brakes the front. The OEM slider and bolts felt like they were going to break! They were not over tight but the type of metal just had that "feel" to them.

Everything went together fine, then I took them apart again and in the process of putting it back together, I did jack up the threads! (Another story) Anyway I was not comfortable with the rethread job...hmm still on the car now.

But since I will be doing drilled, vented disk in a little while. I ordered new caliper Slider/Bolts. The parts came and they were "Dorman." The Slider tube looks to be SS and the Bolt has longer threads and is coated gold colored.Don't know what it is but they look a whole lot better than the OEM part so I ordered another set for the other side!

So Dorman is good with me!

yes i do have the fog on the car BUT.. they are hooked up to a switch on the dash. and being they are they mess with my horn (broken wire to passenger fog ) so ho horn. but if the plug is there and i hook up the MFS/w fog it should work correctly? I want to clean up everything under the hood electrically before i do any mods.

LOL. I see this post AFTER paying to have someone else do it. Our fog lamps would not shut off; for years, the solution was removing the associated fuse. Number 8, I believe. At least I didn't have the dealer do it.
