Lightbulb Re: 'PT' Stands for what ?

Well, my dad who is an advid automotive enthuanist answered this question for me when I purchased my pt. He said it stands for Paul Thomas who was the designer for the vehicle. Sounded good so I didn't question it. But you can come up with your own explaination and from what I have seen on the replies a lot of people have come up with pretty good ones. I have one of my own "Part-Time Cruiser" What do you think of that one?

The info I've read has it that Bruce Nesbitt developed the PT Cruiser concept then was hired away to Chevorlet and did the HHR design.

My wife till's me you're all wrong... Story goes like this. I (me) need a car so she say let's go buy you something. Together we settle on the PT Cruiser. I like it but since she has the long commute it works better for her to drive (I do public transit to work). Soon after she claims the car explaining to me it even has her intitials badged in chrome.... which happens to be PT. I can't seem to convince her she might be wrong her. She gives me the 9/10ths possession thing and says by definition since it is her's then she makes the rules.

What's a guy gottal do to win?

Hate to break it to dear ol' dad, but Brian Nesbitt is the one that designed the PT. He now works for GM and designed the HHR. Guess 1 out of 2 ain't bad for Brian.
