I need to service my beautiful PT, nonturbo, automatic. I live in Irvine in Southern California.
1. Anyone know a reputable place for proper service near the area? 2. would like to avoid the dealer in town..., how much should it cost? thanks, gychang |

Most of the high mileage services consist of checks on things all over the car. The dealer charges too much. Lok in your owners manual and it will tell you what's needed for your 60K service and find a good mechanic that will perform the same service for half the price.

Even if you dont know a mechanic in your area you can get good service at a Big O tire dealer in most cities. You just have to know what they need to do and they will do that service for about 1/5 the cost of a dealer. They may not be experts in repair work but most can do a good job on maintenance items. The key if that you should know what they need to check or work on cause if they do a generic 60,000 mile check most will overcharge you and usually wont follow what is in your book either.
