Holy smoke, guys! Maybe this should be posted in the tech section but I figure some of you here may have experienced the same problem.
After a sixteen day vacation, we came home to find the instrument panel on our parked '05 PT convertible totally without power. No speedometer, no lights, no engine warnings, etc. Total blank! The car runs fine, top works as do the headlights. I checked the fuses in the interior fuse section and all were seemingly ok. Nothing blown. I checked the under hood fuse compartment and the visual inspection of the square 'box' fuses showed ok. I pulled each of the spade fuses and they were all ok, too. Nothing blown. Has anyone else experienced this failure and what was done to fix it?
