I am averaging 22 MPG

|
It's a very heavy 4 cylinder. Love the car, not the mpg.

My last fillup checked in at 25. Thats with half of the time on a 4 lane highway and the other half on 2 lane country roads. I've got 78,000 on my PT as of yesterday.

I usually get right around 20mpg in mixed city/highway driving. I tend to accelerate pretty quickly for the most part as I have a Stage 1 equipped Turbo, automatic trans. I've gotten 24mph a few times when running through a whole tank on the freeway only, but that's at 80 - 90mph so I'm not complaining.

The MPG can vary a crazy amount in this car.. but for us it's usually:
16-19 City 22-26 Highway (usually up around 26) I find that the type of gas can have a massive effect on MPG.. that.. and our heavy heavy feet ![]() |

I'm getting about 24 mpg. Mostly highway miles (55 mph not 70 mph). 2001 w/75,000 miles.
If you opt for the tune-up, replace the spark plug wires as well.
