Hello
Just came inside from WASHING my PT after I was splashed/speckled with yellow street paint. Was coming home and the street painter was coming my way. This is a very narrow road and there was no where to get away from the spray. ![]() Luckily I was 2 minutes from my home, so I sprayed with Windex and washed IMMEDIATELY with hose and used a microfiber washcloth. (Windex was what I could grab immediately) Success! I have a cool vanilla Touring, so the paint was very obvious. Was just going to rinse off, but decided to wash so that I could really see if I had missed any speckles of yellow paint. Yes, I did miss some and was glad I washed the car.) *Just hope the homeowners police don't report me to the county because we are in drought conditions. ![]() Washing your car in the blazing sun at noontime in front of the garbage man is not smart! ![]() However, my paint is saved and I now have a semi clean car ![]() ![]()

I did that years ago back in Maryland. They had just painted the yellow lines and I had to make a turn and cross over them. Luckaly most of the paint went into the wheelwells but a little splattered onto the sides of the car. I used Bug & Tar remover to get the yellow off the sides.
