2008 street cruiser

Hey guys, I noticed the new 2008 street cruiser (last one) labeled the sunset edition as been announced in a very nice shade of red.
Only 500 will be made.

I hope it's better than the 07 PCH edition I got. the 07 is a lump of blue crap.

I'd really like to know what's wrong with the PCH Street Cruiser. I just called Chrysler Customer Service and got the news that they've started building my new Sunset Boulevard 5-speed. If it's as good a car as my current '06 Touring 5-speed, it will be a really good car. My current Cruiser gets good gas mileage and is a great daily driver. I am really looking forward to having a Street Cruiser!

We had the car at the dealer 7 times for poor and gas milage and cruise
control problem. we could only get 19mpg on a trip and the cruise control would not feed in any gas going up a slite grade and would shift down to second gear at 70 mph.
The zone rep said they can't fix it untill they get enough complaints.
I replaced the spark pulgs double plat and put on 8.5mm plug wires and a K&n filter and am now getting 26 hwy. cruise control still not fixed. this is our third pt, the first pt was lemon lawed. my 2002 runs just fine and has 96k on it.

I'd be telling the rep I'm going with the lemon law if they can't fix it. Shifting down to second at 70 is not good for the tranny and could be dangerous.

Wow! That's a real shame. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that the Sunset will be as good as the '02 I used to have, and the '06 I'm driving now. I hope you're able to get things working right on your PCH Edition... that version is beautiful, and I'd been wishing all year that I had one.

Y'know, I haven't been browsing the message boards here until just the other day, and I saw a couple of other posts about things like spark plugs and wires. Do you know, are there many people who have found that replacements can help gas mileage?

My '06 Touring with a 5-speed manual gets excellent mileage, and I get 30 to 32 mpg on trips ALL the time. Even so, I'd be glad to get a couple more mpg, especially around town. In the summer doing strictly city stop-and-go driving with A/C on, I only get 21.
