I just took my '03 in for a $300 oil change. The threads for my oil pan were cracked. Apparently this is pretty common on the 2.4 engines. Luckily it is common enough that the dealer stocked the part and I got the car back the same afternoon. Has anyone else had the threads of the drain hole plug cracked? I don't think I've seen it discussed before.

That's because it's not so common and I've only seen one other person with that problem. Mainly due to over-tightening of the oil pan nut which only needs a snug fit, but drive-in/drive-out grease monkeys like to show their strength when they put the nut back in.
