Welcome to the forum Warped,
Your problem could be a number of things. The remote could need a new battery or need reprogramming, but you need a working remote to program the one you have to do it yourself. A Chrysler dealer can program just one. You might also have a bad RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Module. It's located inside the dash just above the twin air vents.

Thanks!! I know it is not the battery becouse the lock button inside the car does not work also. Would the bad part also cause that?

If you mean the button on the door that open and closes the locks, yes, then it's probably the RKE. I don't know how to test it and would hate for you to buy a new module and find out it's something else.
Did you try the fuse panel by your left knee? The number 3 fuse (20 amp) is the "Door Locks" fuse. It could be as simple as a blown fuse.

I spoke with a dealer and he told me that if a car sits a while with a dead battery the RKE will loose its settings and have to be reprogramed. I conformed that with 2 dealers since it is sat I cant get them to do it till next week.
I'll let you know what the outcome is. Thanks for all your help
