Are all rear decks the same for all PT's?

I just bought a damaged PT from an auction and wanted to know if the earlier years are compatible for a swap. Thanks ahead of time.

Welcome to the forum. Please explain what exactly you mean by "rear deck". The hatch back (rear door) should be the same except for the tiny spoiler on the top, but the bumpers are a different shape on the 06/07 models. The rear inside shelf is the same on all models also.

As you can see in the pic's all the damage is to the rear. There are plenty wreck PTs at the junk yard, but not too many 06. I want to know if all that is damage in the pic is replaceable with previous PT years

Another consideration for rear hatch replacement is the mechanism for releasing the lock-latch.

At some point in a mid-year "running change" the mechanical lift-up release was replaced with a squeeze-membrane release. I would assume that the membrane release might be powered by a wiring harness not found on earlier production models.

I believe the change-over occured some time during 2004 model year production.
