My absolute best was a tad over 30mpg on my NA manual 03, while my 05 GT auto saw 17 in town if I stayed out of it, and no more than 25 on the highway. The over 30 is at low altitude, ac more off than on, Mobil One and keeping it under 85.
BTW...I was on here quite awhile back as Coolvanillagt. The GT is gone.....many tears.. |

Just took a new mileage reading yesterday. Have almost 76,000 miles on my '05 PTGT. Average overall driving is 20.5 MPG on my automatic. A/C is on most of the time.

You should get a diesel. My 2005 2.2crd does 43mpg (imperial miles and imperial gallons) week-in-week out any driving style town and motorway.
Also slipping into neutral may not help fuel consumption. When in neutral fuel is being burnt but when in overrun, in gear, the engine management system switches the fuel off because no power is required. Robert |

Hey, I recently did a trip to Orlando and got 27.43 mpg average. I think my setup might have something to do with it maybe? I know my tires can only hurt it because i'm running 225/45/17's on the front and 245/40/18's on the rear. yay for rolling resistance! haha.
