My 2007 PT is just 6 months old, and today I noticed that my remote control mirrors (left and right) do not respond to the switch. They do not move at all.
I am still on warranty and hope I can get the dealer to fix this; just thought maybe someone knew of the problem, and a simple reset I might be able to do to get them working without the dealer hassle. Everything else seems to be working fine. Thanks. |

I tried my Haynes manual under "mirrors" and it says to first check the fuse (see Chapter 1). Chapter 1 is routine maintenance and has nothing what-so-ever to do with the mirrors or fuses. I also checked the cover of the interior fuse box and the listing on the engine fuse box and the only fuse for the mirrors is number #18 for the heated part of the mirrors. Pulled that fuse just to be sure but the mirror still worked, SO, hopefully someone will come along and know which fuse in either fuse box is for the remote mirrors.

On closer look in my owner's manual, I see that Fuse #6 (10 amp) items include "Pwr Mir" (could this be the Power Mirror?).
It also shows a few other items for that fuse: IOD Sw, OCM Steering Cntrl, Sdar, Hfm. Since I don't have any idea what these other items are, I can't tell if they're working or not. My PT may not even have these other features. I'll take a look at #6 in the morning, if the snow stops, that is. |

Your #6 with the "Pwr Mir" sure sounds like the right one.
On my 2001, the #6 (10A) says: B/U EBL NEU SAF Haven't the faintest idea what they are.

Thanks Crewzin,
Since neither mirror would adjust, I figured it was either the fuse, or switch that was bad. Since the mirrors didn't need adjusting now, I finally took the time to open the underhood fusebox and test. Indeed #6 was bad, and replacing it restored the function. The hardest part was opening and then relatching the fuse box cover, difficult even though my fingers ain't that fat. |
