Default Rebuilding!

When I first bought my PT about a month ago, it had been hit in the right front door/fender area, and deemed a Salvage. Currently all the junk is shaved off and the new parts are ready to be welded on

The last 3 pics are of the original car when I bought it. The rest are of it currently

Woohoo for being related to a mechanic

PS - Yes, that's a fire engine parked behind it.

At that price, if you can do the work yourself, it's a great deal. Let us see the final results. Hope nothing mechanical was damaged.

Nothing mechanical thankfully, turns out the car has built-in crumple zones. It has a thin exterior shell that the paint goes on, then a 3-4 inch gap (viewable in one of the pics) then the structural steel, then another shell on the interior, all that was damaged was the outer shell, and the structural was bent slightly. The doors were obviously mangled and the fender was ripped (yes, ripped) off of one of the hinges, so it can't be salvaged :/ I may need a new Dash though, it was shifted 3-4 inches over from the force of the crash and cracked in a few spots.

Once everything is done and put back together it'll cost around $5k for a fully loaded '01
