I took it in that Saturday the 22nd.
that was only ONE time I took it in since I bought my car in October.

It's hidden in the passenger side wheel well under a pretty thick inner-liner

**Actually babe, I was going to also mention that I hope someone had not moved you horn, and mounted it in a direction to get water "into" the horn...... Surely not!
actually the inner liner isn't that thick at all--it's about 1/2" thick. And apparently, it wasn't screwed on tight enough as well. My friend saw the horn and saw it got some paint on it...and he's wondering if the car had a previous crash...so the mystery deepens. If that's the case, someone prolly did placed the horn in the wrong direction.

*siiiiigh* the joys of ownership. LOL

Once again, I bought mine brand new, it has not been crashed, through a car wash, painted, or had any horn or any electrical changes whatsoever and it is doing the same thing!!!!Bob

Welp, the horn dried out and my nephew put it back in, but this time in a different direction to prevent further water damage. Sounds normal to me so far!

When he had more time, he'll install my Aoogah horn

Unhappy Re: Car horn's weak when locking up.

Never have gone through car wash here - never will!
Saw a brand new Caddy yesterday, that had wipe streaks on the sides like it had 12 inch paint brushes wipe on the sides. Great car wash job!

er...you know, kind of like when you try to sing with a mouth full of mouthwash!

That happened to me on my 2000 Grand Caravan Sport, it got wet and only one horn worked. Does a PT have dual horns.

PT's had dual horns until either '03 or '04, another thing Chrysler reneged on!!

Both my 2006 Touring , and the GT Vert have only one horn; the "low tone". Best if supplemented with the Highway Blaster "High Tone" at Autozone. Great, loud sound afterwards. Easy thing to install for this mechanically challenged city guy.

well, my horn's working fine now, and my nephew installed my Aoogah horn...a lot louder than the other one I had LOL since I don't have the fuses I can only do very short bursts for a while, which is fine with me.
