There is an access door in front of each front wheel on the wheel well. The Haynes book says remove the wheel and put the car on a stand for safety, but I just turned the steering wheel to get to it, without removing the wheel. You then turn the bulb holder to remove it and unhook the wiring plug. The new bulbs come with the holder attached. DO NOT touch the glass on the lamp, as the oil on your fingers can etch the glass and make the bulbs fail prematurely. Hope this helps.

if you do touch the glass, wipe the bulb with rubbing alcohol and a clean lint free cloth.

Well I tried and tried today to get the high beam bulb out to no avail. I also tried to get the parking bulb out and failed again. In fact I cant find anything in the Haynes manual as to how to get the parking bulb out.
Shouldn't matter but it is a right hand drive car (UK) Any other ideas welcome. |

Are you twisting the holder counter clockwise? Its a quarter turn and pulls out of socket.

I agree. I've changed both the headlight (to Sylvania Super White) and the turn signal bulbs (to chrome covered, which I've since changed back to OEM) and the only problem I had was to reach the high beam (which I really didn't need to anyway). The others just twisted and pulled out.

xwing777 - I cant even get my hands on the high beam to be able to twist it, maybe I have sausages for fingers, need to find a small person to do this perhaps!
![]() Does the parking light also twist to come out (that is if I can ever get my hands on it!)

Yes, twist for all 3 bulbs. It helps if you take the other hand and pull down the plastic liner where the little door pops off as you put your other hand inside. The edge of the plastic catches on your hand as you stick it through the opening. If you got some kids in the neigborhood, get one of them to try it as it is really tight through that hole regardless.
