Welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone will come along with the answer to your question but you might have a better chance of an answer if you posted in the "Turbo" section of the forum. Some Turbo owners only browse that section as it pertains to their particular vehicle, but there are Turbo owners on here also so hang loose for awhile and ....Happy New year to you.

All they do is vent the unneeded hot compressed air to the atmosphere, (makes noise), so that it does not slam into the throttle plate and or turbine when you let off the gas, it also helps to prevent turbo surge by letting out the hot compressed air pressure which then makes it easier for the turbo to spool up again with cooler air when you do hit the gas. Sorry but there is no way a BOV can make or add more power, actually if it leaks, or is adjustable, but not adjusted properly it can cause power loss due to boost leak.
