just wanted to say Hi...I recently got a Drk Blue 2005 PT Limited NA and I love the thing.

With the exception of my 5.0 '88 ThunderBird I have always owned Mopar..
1987 Dodge Shadow
1988 ThunderBird
1995 Dodge Avenger

and now my PT.
actually I was a Day away from signing papers on a Dodge Stratus R/T....but I really needed something to haul around tools and artwork (I'm a metal sculptor)

had my heart set on a Turbo PT but they are kind of rare used in this part of Texas. got a deal on two PT's for 10,500 each...one was the Drk Blue '05 Limited. and the other was a Black '06 Touring... each has 34k on them and were one owners.

So yeah I dind't get much sleep that night trying to decide which one i was taking home...

I really liked the Black with the crome grill on the '06. But I also really liked the interior design of the '05

So in the end I came home with my Blue Bruiser.

Now I need to contact a dealer and maybe look into getting a warrenty...or perhaps switching out the headlamps before I hit 35k (if anyone has any info on this ...lemme know)

I have some questions that I;ll post in the other sections. I know that they may have been answered in the past...but maybe you guys can give me some more input. again thanks and hello and I'm glad to meet some other owners of this great lil rod.

What's wrong with the headlights? Bulbs/brightness? Discolored lens?

well..they havn't started to yellow yet...but if you touch them..they are smooth and "glassy' at the bottom..but as you run your hand upwards it gets rougher and rougher and the very top the lenes have windburn and are cloudy/scratched (guess from alot of highway driving prior)

also when the lights are on you can see that the lenes are pitted.

I figured if they are still under the bumper to bumper warrenty I should get fresh ones

but when I called the dealer they said that it may fall under "wear and tear" and that the manager has to see them.

Yup! Sounds like paranormal wear and tear to me too.
1. Post a question to the "candyman" on the PTCruiserWorld forums. I believe there has been previous discussion/post about polishing light lenses and windshields.
2. Got/gettin the X-Pel 3M protective lens covers (40 mil I believe)for the headlights and fog lights. They are absolurtely invisible after dried. And, the material was developed for the safety glasses of our troops in the Middle East - to deflect shrapnel at 200mph!

3. Otherwise, check out some junk yards before paying for new lenses.
