So yeah was running late night errands...one of which was filling up a 3 gallon water jug.
So yeah, long story short...Quick stop at the light...rear seat down from hauling fishing poles the day before...and a water bottle neck hitting the hard plastic back of my passanger seat = about a gallon of water all over the floor board and the seat... most of it ended up on the floor board.. used a wet/dry shop vac to suck up most of it , head rest soaked as well as most of the seating area on the backseat. ran the car for an hour with the heater on..trying to speed things up as well as hitting it with a hair dryer got MOST of the moisture out.,,,wish tomorrow would be a sunny day but actually...it's going to be cold damp and raining. I'm coming to accept that I'm going to get water stains on the seats..cuz for some reason this fabric does that alot....I just don't want mildew growing in the car. ![]() maybe I should have the ulpostery cleaned? steamed?...any suggestions?

Along with the heater as QSD suggested, take the seat out of the cruiser (easy enough) and bring it inside the house where it's warmer and will dry out quicker.
Keep going over the floor area with the wet/dry vac. If it's anything like mine, it'll suck the carpet dry enough for the heater to finish it off.

well was able to dry most of it that first night...the carpet is dry and there isn't a smell...
bad news there are dark waterstains on the rear and front passenger seat.. talked with a detailer and offered a friend discount to clean/shampoo the seats and carpet. said that he has done 15+ PT's all with the same problems...any little bit of moisture seems to leave marks on the fabric also offred to sell me a compound to clean my seats myself later on. I dunno....if a wet/vac steam clean will healp or just worsen the problem. but he "claims" to have worked on quite a few..and he is a reputable detailer.

I got caught with my doors open showing off while tailgating before a late season OU football game. The snow came down fast & furious. Both driver's side seats, on the outside edges. I even had the grandchild spill a water bottle on the rear passenger side seat this summer.
-first, I use a spray foam carpet & upholstery cleaner. Apply as directions say, spraying from a distance. Let it dry completely; then vacuum well. -2nd - I follow up with a liquid carpet cleaner on a stiff rag (with the cleaner wetting the corner of the rag); rubbing over the areas. Then, I follow up with a clean wet rag wiping agressively over the area. After drying and vacuuming again..... Always had good results. (just a little of elbow rease & time) (If you lack the confidence in colorfastness of the material, just spray and test an inconspicuous area as a test first) ![]() (I don't do windows)
