Hello PT cruisers : PT Forum Virgin Here, so please be gentle ! Anyone out there with DIY experience in changing the motor mounts in the PT cruiser ? Any special tools needed ? Can a mechanically inclined person change them without much problem ? Any instuctions available online or within this site ?? Any help will be appreciated...........barry. |

No press needed. Top is easiest and bottom is not really that hard. Remember to support the bottom of the engine/tranny with a jack with a piece of wood to protect the engine tranny. You don't want to move the engine all around or you will have to realign. It's good to have jack stands because when you do the bottom you have to remove the passenger tire and inner fender. 1 to 1 1/2 hour tops to do.
