Cool Re: May pick up a 08 PT this weekend

I'm 60 years old!
My wife and I have been driving our separate cars - Chryslers (me, mostly Dodge) and her Fords (now Grand Marquis) for over 40 years together!
Both of us have probably been really lucky, as we really haven't had any big problems. We even try to keep our cars at least 7-10 years. But, we do take good care of our cars. Her Marquis is now 15 years old. She now probably lays out about $500 every 6 months for something like the elec motor for the power windows. She even just put a new engine in it last fall ($4K).
*But, she loves her car, and I love my PTs!
***And, she doesn't even whine when something goes wrong!

SO you bought a used PT, have problems, and are condemning all PTs?

I am on my second PT, and have never had a problem other than repair items like ignition wires, tires, brake pads, and a broken rear sway bar on my '02 from a pothole that was bad enough to crack a rim.

People usually post on forums when they have a problem. Statistcally, with over a million PTs sold, there are bound to be some bad ones.

I'm sorry, ptma, but I just don't understand:

1)you say you've been driving a series of Chryslers for fifteen years;
2)you say every one of them has been a lemon;
3)you say the problems with your (purchased-used) Cruiser "should have been caught by the dealer's inspection";
4)and apparently, your only reason to join this forum is to diss all Cruisers everywhere.

Excuse me, but all my previous vehicles were purchased used, and even way back when I was a young & dumb 18 years old I knew to GET THE VECHICLE CHECKED OUT BY A RELIABLE MECHANIC BEFORE PURCHASING.

Did you get such an inspection ahead of time, or just hand over the money?

1 i never ever owned a chrysler or dodge till now that was cave man .
2 see 1 no i just said mine may be "a lemon"hope not.3 they admited it 4 no i think pts are cool and im sure there are many without problems and i still like mine but i know there are things im goint to change like plug wires and roters going to put on drilled and sloted roters.tires just to avoid a problem but people should read fourms sevice bullitins and the internet before they buy on any car.. and yes i did take to it to get inspected . oil was seeping out the back.so they did not see it.it havent been doing it 4 too long talked to first owner and they said they never had a problemthey just bought a 300 m. so onece they fix the head all will hopefully be good. then i could start wrighting about the cool things i do to it .the body on pts are VERY well built inside is built well to and roomy and my dealer is really cool
