Hey What is the name of the dealership that your dealing with I think this is load of crap that you dont get a loaner car when it is an extended problem like this. I have dealt with the same dealer for the last 20 years and have never bought a extended service plan I dont generally keep cars past 36 thousand so I dont need them.. I have gotten a loaner any time my car was laid up over 2 days I think you need to talk to your sales man and explain that if he wants you bussiness in 2 years at trade off time he better have a talk with the service manager
My cruiser is an older car I bought second hand from private party so there was no option of service plan but it is not my everyday driver Last edited by notadodge; 28 Jan 2008 at 10:13 pm. Reason: typo |

I disagree on extended warranties, you dealer should have "come to the plate" and offered you a loaner. Was this the same dealer you purchased the vehicle from? As far as extended warranties, dealerships offer companies with fleets what is called a "good will" or "policy adjust" warranty. When negotiating a new car purchase always ask the dealer policy on warranty and loaners. Go a step further and get something in writing up front- even a free "extended" warranty is possible. The individual dealers make there own policy when it comes to extended coverage. The fact is the extended warranty is a business in itself, your dealer makes more money on the financing and "extras" in the finance office when closing then they do on the car it's self.
