What year? They changed the opening from mechanical to electric I think in the '05 model.

The Trunk Problem Thing Hatch latch malfunction With an '07, you should make dealer solve the problem.

Okay.....
If you read the posts, pulling fuse for RKEM (Remote Keyless Entry Module) helped in at least one case.

Wish I could help but it's probably way different on your 07 compared to my 01. In mine, there's 2 fuses for the RKEM. One fuse inside the car, the #3 fuse and there's the #10 fuse in the box in the engine compartment.
The little door on the inside fuse compartment has an imprint on the inside of the door with abbreviations of what each fuse is for. Your owners manual has a diagram and list of what the fuses in the engine compartment control.
