Gate Lock Malfunction

Hello Everyone, i have a problem wen i try to open my Tail Gate from the outside it wont open.
the gear is on (P) all the other locks are open but i still have to use the key to open it.
the outer handle where i just press and it opens is not working.
please can anyone advise what to do because it is frustrating to turn off the car and remove the key to open the tail gate from the outside everytime.

What year? They changed the opening from mechanical to electric I think in the '05 model.

With an '07, you should make dealer solve the problem.

The problem is that i am in Libya with my car and there is no specific dealer for Chrysler and i cant take it to anyone because i know they will bust it up.
so thats why i am seeking help to do it myself.....

If you read the posts, pulling fuse for RKEM (Remote Keyless Entry Module) helped in at least one case.

If the posts above don't help, I'd leave it alone and use the key until you get back to the states.

Thanks Sooner but i cant because i live here, if anyone could explain or send a diaghram of all the connections and fuses to the gate lock and i'll try to figure somthing out.

can u tell me where the pulling fuse for the RKEM is located.

Wish I could help but it's probably way different on your 07 compared to my 01. In mine, there's 2 fuses for the RKEM. One fuse inside the car, the #3 fuse and there's the #10 fuse in the box in the engine compartment.

The little door on the inside fuse compartment has an imprint on the inside of the door with abbreviations of what each fuse is for. Your owners manual has a diagram and list of what the fuses in the engine compartment control.
