Squeeking front seat?
My 2004 PT Cruiser (leather interior) has started making squeeking metallic, springlike noices in the drivers seat. I have tried WD40'ing the seat fastening nuts from below, but Squeeking continues. Any tips on fixing this problem ?

On my 03 the drivers back was squeeking. Everytme you would hit a bump it, turn a corner it would squeek. I got tried of it and took the entire seat out, took the cover and foam off and I found a crack in the steel frame. Took a mig welder and welded it. Put the foam and cover back on and the seat was good to go. The seat frame is very thin steel so that's maybe what happen to yours. It's pretty easy to fix if you have a welder.

Thanks for the answer. Yes it squeeks when I seat myself, passing bumps, and turning. I will take out the seat and see if I can get the leather off.

Do you have the power seat? If so, Lower it all the way.
I had the same problem, Noticed that my seat was up, I lowered it, havent heard it since. Hope this helped.

Yeah, I have the power seat. It squeeks in all positions. Guess I'll rip the seat out, slash the leather and see whats inside ;-(
