Default Dual Exhaust a good idea or not?

Upon searching the Internet I noticed some dual exhaust kits for the PT Cruiser. If anyone has installed one of these or personally know about it please let me know how it sounds and if it helps with performance or efficiency? I have heard V6 trucks that have dual exhaust with the performance mufflers and I truly was not impressed with the sound. Nothing like the sound of a good V8 though. I can't imagine a 4 cylinder sounding all that good with loud mufflers but then I have never heard one (except those rice burners) BTW my Cruiser is a 2.4L non-turbo.

Thanks!

The ONLY thing dual exhaust does for the cruiser is look good, if that's what looking good is to you. Apparently the ricers like a single large noisemaker sticking out the back.

They all (single and dual) sound a little different from one another so before shelling out your money, see if you can find a cruiser with the sound you like and ask them what they have.

Yep, like CREWZIN said, they won't help with any power and they all sound different so you should try and listen to people who have them and decide from there.

I do think opening up the intake and exhaust help a bit - won't turn it into a fire-breather, but helps.
Duals offer nothing except looks over a free-flow single, but don't knock looks!
If you do want duals, suggest you look at BTG - they are truly free-flow, and have a "Y" pipe that splits the exhaust evenly left and right.
BEFORE YOU BUY, find someone with the exhaust you want and listen to it.
I love the deep sound of mine, but music to me may noise to another....
