I have this cigarette burn hole in my car. It's more annoying than anything and I want to get it fixed/hidden.
![]() It may not be big, but its noticable, and excuse the picture quality...was taken from my Blackberry.

You're very close to the top of the A-pillar, how about putting something on top to hide it as well as making the interior look better. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll do less typing and show this. These things are called "welts" and are from MrMikes. MrMikes PT WeltsYou probably know about it, but I only came across his site yesterday!
If you had a wider welt or used several beside each other, it would cover it and dress up the interior too.My 2cents, Ben

We have several upholstery shops that do a great job on matching seat covers, etc. That's where I'd start.
But, does the car have a theme? If so, a great place for a fabric applica (aplicay sp?). Just use fabric glue to place it. ..or hang an oprey light! ![]() (personally, I think I would do anything before replacing a head liner. I haven't seen one yet I'd be happy with. So, a small fix would be better..Chrysler buttom or something like that.) |

Don't know how critical you are but, have you tried hitting it with "wite-out" or white shoe dressing? (if it's not a burn through)

Prettyblue - Hopefully the seat matching place has a pro that could help me
.Clever - Never seen or heard about that website, but I will sure check it out..Looks like an awesome add-on aswell! Sooner - Thanks, I'll try to find one around here and give them a shot. Nexium - It's a burn....Whiteout probably wouldn't look good on a tan headliner, lol. But thanks! Thanks to everyone that replied...any other help would be much appreciated!! Thanks again!

Go to a car paint supply place that sells car paint and see if they have any fabric paint or die and match the same color you have.

I had a similar one in mine also have one in my leather seats
I did get the one in the head liner almost invisible with a trick from dear old mom she took a seam ripper and picked away the burned material kind of like combing out a snarl in your hair. It isnt perfect but a whole hell of a lot less noticable. hope it works for you too... I havnt found a fix for the seat yet but I talked to a guy that said that he could sew it together and make it almost nonexistant.. If that trick dosn't work you can always hide it with a hat pin of you favorite sports team stuck in the liner Last edited by notadodge; 11 Mar 2008 at 01:10 am. |
