I have a 2002 non-turbo and noticed transmission fluid on the trans pan. After wiping it clean, I observed that it might be coming from the unit just above the trans pan (front side). I understand that this unit has a (pro-pack) gasket that is prone to leaking. Does anyone know if this is a easy fix once I drop the trans pan, or should I have it serviced? (Moderate mechanical skills).

Had this problem with my brand new 2001 PT at 300 ml. Took it to the dealer, replaced the filter and leaking something
and was on my way in 25 min. Chrysler is not famous for trans design. Not a single problem since then. 51k now. Good luck. |
