Default TIRE NOISE OR SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS??

My PT now has 57k miles with 31k on a set of Bridgestone G009's(replace the origional Goodyears at 26k miles. Also one front wheel bearing has been replaced under warranty.Allignment has been done along with regular tire rotaions. Now PT has alot of road noise. Tires are at 6/32. They are supposedly good for 50K? Is it the tires or something more serious..thanks for all and any help & suggestions. MJB :: ***JUST HAD STATE INSPECTION***

I've had a few kinds of tires in my day that were whisper quiet for a long time, then got immediately loud 20-30K in even though they were warrantied for a bit longer. Doesn't necessarily mean the tires are bad. If you're still getting traction and have sufficient tread, just turn up the stereo.

I am no mechanic in any way/shape or form, but what kind of noise is it making? You should have probably replaced both wheel bearings. Have you had anything done to your Lower control arm bushings?? If not, get those checked out.

Red face Re: TIRE NOISE OR SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS??

Check your wheel bearings.
Probably your tires; unless proved otherwise!
But, had a couple of loose wheel lugs myself that I thought was the noise of the car coming apart!

Ok we will see,,just had tires balanced-(high speed)-tire place seemed to think tires a bit feathered & since all suspension & allighnment work has been done already this may work itself out. 7/32 left on tires. They come 11/32 new..any thoughts....
