Default billet grill for turbos?

I see a billett grill on ebay but the seller states the lower grill will NOT fit the turbo...how is the turbos lower grill different from the non turbos? Is there anyway the lower billett grill could be made to fit the turbo? What are my other options?

The lower grill opening is larger to accomadate the air flowing into the intercooler. That's why it will not fit thew turbo. You need the larger opening.

Well - I have an '05 turbo and am using a billet grille from a non-turbo that I took off my '02. I also fitted another used billet grille from a N/A on my daughter's '03 GT. They look fine. You have to be creative in how to mount them - I used black zip ties on the black-painted vertical back rods of the grilles zip-tied to the slat in the stock lower opening. The ties are nearly invisible except if you're real close.

Where is the website where I can buy a grill like yours>?How much was it? Did you just mount the 2 pieces on top of the existing grill? Do you know of any used ones that are avail?

Hmmmm, I wonder why the manufacturer chose to make the lower grill opening larger on the turbo model? Must have been a mistake to increase air flow to the intercooler.

The top is a replacement - the stock grille lifts out. Up to '06, the stock bottom opening isn't removable - the billet goes on top.

I bought my original one from RaceAndStreet I got the one for my daughter's of a PT Forum.
Post a want to buy here & other forums.

I have the Carriage Works billet grill and the lower grill is wayy wider than my original lower grill, so I pretty sure it will fit turbos perfectly....
