my front window go up but not down

For the last few months, my front passenger and driver windows have been sporadically operational. On a good day, if I push the window down button enough times, the window may roll down an inch or 2, or I may even be able to use it for an hour at a time or so. I am always able to roll my windows back up, but when it comes time to roll them down, they usually don't work. As of recent, I haven't been able to get them to work in weeks. When I push the switch up, I can hear and see the window slightly push up, but trying to roll them down there is no movement and no sound other than my clicking switch. HELP!

Do a search and look up how to take door panels off. You'll want to get in there and with a meter, see if you get 12V at the solenoids when you hit the switch. I believe there's a connector in each door - be sure that is tight.
Nasty problem.
