any one else have this problem

here's the scoop on it:
they looked at it today and they pressure tested it and found no leaks or anything like that ....so they took it for a test drive and it overheated....so they looked more and the thermostat apparantly wasn't opening up so they replaced the thermostat and test drove it again and no overheating ... now as far as where the coolant went because before i took it over my dad had to put some more in that's somethin their gonna tell us tomorrow when i get to pick it up. .... but i'm just happy to get my pt back i've missed it esp since i had to drive my dad's car today

Watch for new oil leaks.

If your vehicle overheated, then the head gasket could have melted, causing a slight oil leak.

At least that's what happend when my water pump failed, and the engine overheated.

If it's under warranty, get them to fix that too.
(If it's not under warranty, then it's just an oil leak)
But if it is covered, don't let the warranty expire without getting all you can out of it.

oh i will .... i just got it back today and so far so good if it happens again i'll ask for that but hopefully that won't have to happen //crosses fingers//

ok so here's the scoop more ....picked my pt up on saturday drove fine ...then on sunday it drove rough meaning when i was stopped and it idled the entire car shook and was loud and when i accelerated i heard a noise that sounded like a metallic rattling sound as my dad called it....and all this happened on my way home from my significant other's house....so i needed gas and i took my dad up to get it with me to hear it and he didn't hear the rattling noise and so i got back to my house and he stood outside my car while i drove up and down my street well i was at the top turning around and i put it into reverse because i was pulling a u-turn in the middle of my street and it died on me ....steering wheel locked up and everything so i had to restart my car and drive it down and my dad took it out and yead my engine sounded like 10x's louder from when i purchased the car so we took it back to the dealership we got it from and wrote them a nice little note and tomorrow since i'm in class all day he's calling other chryser dealerships in our area ...other closer ones are like 30 min away from my house (surburbia in cincnnati lots of others lol but no other chyrlsers when you want them) and going to find out because it's still leaking coolant from the resever or overflow tank in the back of the engine .... we're not questioning what's going on with the dealership i bought it from...i think the warranty is still the chrysler warranty that's on it and if so i think we might then take it another dearlship and double check that everything is ok...sooo frustrating all i want it my car back
