Unhappy any one else have this problem

ok so i'm 20 and i just bought my first pt cruiser ever and i love it .... wanted this car since 2000 when it came out ... so in december i bought a 2006 pt from my local chrysler dodge jeep dealership and the beginning of march it was over heating and i took in and they just replaced the radiator cap becaue that's what they said was the problem and now just today it over heated again and im taking it back to the dealership today b/c obviously i can't drive it but i was wondering if anyones had those problems with their too ....

i hate having my pt gone b/c i love it too much

i purchased it used not new b/c i bought it myself and i'm putting myself through school and parents said insurance would be cheaper on a used but it was used .... the dealership told me they purchased it from the chrysler plant they probably used it for errands around the plant

Tommey,

Welcome to the forum. There's lots of reasons for the PT (or any other vehicle ) to overheat. One of the speeds on the fan could be burnt out. You could have air in the system. The water pump might have froze up. More diagnostic work has to be done for us to help you, but meanwhile, you seem to be still under some sort of warranty even if it was bought used so take it back and complain that they didn't fix the problem right in the first place.

thanks

that's what i'm doing tonight my dad's going to follow me over to the dealership tonight so hopefully they'll figure something out...i didn't know what was wrong my mom said maybe like a pin hole in one of the tubes you know but idk otherwise i love my pt

Good luck with it and hopefully they are reputable enough to fix it right the second time without too much hassle. Let us know what they do.
