Hey candyman thanks for the shout out mate, and as soon as I find some springs to drop my panel one and a half front and two rear the air bags and adjustable struts are yours. I will try to find them around hear but I may have to buy some it would probably be faster than digging through all my boxes from the move.anyway we should be able to get this handled in the next week or two. Long time no talk everyone....

My mods for my 01 Cruiser...

1. Xenon 8000k Headlights
2. Xenon 6000k Fog Lights
3. Xenon 10,000k 2nd Fog Light System (the lights on the top of your car or truck)
4. New Pt Cruiser GT Turbo Engine
5. 15in Konig rims
6. Performance Chip replacing the OEM Chip
7. Performance ECU and Fuel mapping system with performance Air Filter
8. Custom guages showing turbo, air intake etc.
9. also new computer so it show me how many MPG im getting. right now its averaging about 21 lol
10. Michelin All Terrain Tires (Mainly Off-Road)

For those who don't know i use the PT Cruiser as 1 of 3 cars to Chase Storms with. That's why i got the heavy duty Fog Light system, Performance Mods and off-road all terrain tires. altho the rims dont match them but they look nice lol. Nice being back for a while. only gonna be here for 2 weeks. Anyone who has questions just message me or e-mail me at spiritofvengence@ymail.com

thanks man, yea its crazy down there. already had to fix the PT once already due to heavy Hail. about baseball size so it put a few dents in it and broke the windshield an driver window but all is well right now an the pt looks like new. so in 2 weeks its back to doing what i do best

Cool profession! I used to drive Trucks long haul and saw several twisters over the years I drove. For some reason about half of them I saw were right around Sidney Nebraska along the border of Wyoming. I have seen baseball, and even one time almost grapefruit sized hail which broke through the windshield and landed in the sleeper while I was creeping along at about 10 MPH. I also used to catch one every now and then out on the last part of the Oklahoma Turnpike I 44 headed towards Missouri that will have torn out a few billboards, or a small house of two.

Worst storm I have ever been in though hands down was on this little two lane road my former company used to have us run to cut across Kansas on our way to our Kansas City Terminal which takes us right through downtown Greensburg. One night I hit a really nasty storm on my way across it got really bad to the point where I could barely see past the hood of my truck so I was just creeping forward with my four ways on, and by the time I reached Greensburg I was diverted around due to the town getting leveled by a direct hit from that F5 Tornado about an hour before I got their. A couple of days later I came back through their and it just looked like a bomb had gone off. Normally I used to just try to push through the weather and usually could out drive it but that one spooked me a bit so I backed off for a while.

im always safe but with all the mods on the pt and that it weighs 8k pounds right now lol im surprised it still reaches 140mph, granted it takes a while but gets up there so if i need to get the hell out i have enough speed to do so. but now im ondering how fast it would go if the car weighed 4k pounds lol.

I purchased my '01 with the intention of driving it daily, winter and summer, as a way to keep from putting roughly 12,000 miles a year on our '02 Caravan that we need when my wife wants to go out.

My mods are much more subtle:

New tires
New rims (chrome on old ones pitted to where they were leaking)
New shorty antenna
Airaid Cold Air System (purchase used off this board)
The rest means little to most of you:
A pair of Whelen single Talons (one Amber, one White)
A second pair of Whelen Talons (both Amber)
A pair of Tomar RECT25's (High Power)
A single Whelen Slimlighter MM
A 40 watt Kenwood TK-880 UHF mobile radio w/ NMO mounted antenna on the roof
A pair of Icom F-221S UHF mobile radio's modified as a mobile repeater

I'm a member of Circle City REACT here in Indianapolis and I use my PT Cruiser when working events we help out with around town doing the warmer months (usually March through October).

If any of you from this area plan on attending the Indianapolis Air Show held at Mt Comfort Airport east of Indy, you might see my PT Cruiser helping direct traffic. Also I should be on a golf cart running around the place. Just look for a big, gray haired guy with a white shirt, black pants, probably two radios, that will be me.
