Default Need to replace radio/CD system

Hello all --

I recently had to replace the radiator on my 2003 Turbo, and when I got the car back, the CD player didn't work (the radio is fine). The dealership basically said they couldn't troubleshoot and my only option was to get a whole new unit. Rather than spend $650plus on one from Chrysler, can anyone recommend a good installer in Southern California? Someone who cna get the unit, install it, and retrieve the 6 CDS in my current player? Many thanks.

Circuit City or Best Buy around?? They have some pretty descent radios and a pretty good installtion service for a price. I spent $450 on a touchscreen radio that included installation - Not bad in my eyes. I'm sure you could find a radio and installation for ~$150-$250.

Good luck!

To swap out a factory radio is about a 10 minute job and requires one phillips screwdriver. If you get one, I'll walk you through it.

Ebay has tons of Chrysler radios, if you're looking for a 6cd changer, you can probably get it for about $200 here is just one:

Thanks for all the suggestions. Got a quote from a guy in canoga park whos aid for around $750, he can install radio/single CD/IPOD in glovecompartment/bluetooth hands free unit for that price, and get my 6 CDS out of the broken unit. Sound fair?

I got a Sony radio with a single cd player AND a Sony under the seat 10 disc changer I'll sell you for a whole lot less than $750. I can post a picture if you want to see the set. Just took them out of my PT. Work perfectly.

Hey Theresa, there was another thread about this on another list....did you post it? If not I seem to remember several people said to disconnect your battery and step on the brake for 30 seconds to reset they system. This person was able to retrieve their discs.

Some others may weigh in on this.

Regards
Terry
